Facilities At Parc Wernol we are able to offer the following facilities: > Chalets/Caravans for hire/sale > Safe children’s play area > Slide swing and sand pit > Separate playing field for ball games, kites etc. > Footpath and Lake (see more info below) > Games Room > Wi-Fi > Toilet and Shower block (with shaving points) > Hard standing, fully serviced sites > Tourist Information > Laundry Room > Gas > Pets welcomed (dogs must be kept on a lead) Lake & Footpath (from a regular visitor to Parc Wernol) A five minute walk from the park brings you down to a beautiful small lake which is well stocked with a variety of fish. Set in a secluded valley on the farm you can expect to catch any number of smaller Roach and Rudd. If you are looking for a larger catch there is a selection of Carp from 3lb up to 16lbs. Popular baits include mixer, bread and corn. This is a perfect location for angling on your own or with a small group of friends. With 4 platforms you will not be disappointed with the fishing. There are also a number of picnic benches if you want to make a day of it with the entire family. Following on from the lake you can join on to a renowed footpath known as Y Lon Goed. This path goes from Afon Wen Beach (By Hafan y Mor) up to Cennin Mountain a distance of approx 12miles. This was the first main road in the area and it enabled farmers to rake their stock to sell as well as enabling them to carry lime from the sea to the farms. From September 2008 work has been carried out on the path repairing and conserving the Lon Goed, funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by the Countryside Council for Wales and Gwynedd County Council. |
